The handheld ForenScope Contactless LITE Fingerprint System allows for the rapid visualization and capture of unprocessed and untouched latent fingerprints from reflective and semi-reflective surfaces at the Crime Scene, and also at the Laboratory.  The advanced mobile coaxial lighting system features an attached camera.  The ForenScope Contactless LITE provides 100% contact-free latent fingerprint imaging and requires no powders, glue, chemicals, or dyes.  This contactless capability reduces the possibility of contaminating or destroying delicate DNA evidence.

Users may evaluate the surfaces of collected evidence items for latent fingerprint detail, then using the Contactless LITE, capture the relevant unprocessed fingerprint images, search AFIS, and then decide to process for DNA, digital, or other evidence types without any damaging processing techniques. This allows for a substantial reevaluation of sequential latent fingerprint processes.

The camera is powered by an internal lithium battery. The integrated axial light source is powered by an internal lithium battery. Each high capacity battery is rechargeable.
